About Silver Birch Ceremonies
Welcome to Silver Birch Ceremonies
Silver Birch Ceremonies, established by Sarah Brown, a Mohawk/Caucasian woman from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, is a long-awaited dream come true. As an Indigenous social worker, poet, public speaker, and a proud supporter of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community, Sarah has envisioned this opportunity to create non-religious ceremonies for decades.
As an officiant with Humanist Canada, the mission of Silver Birch Ceremonies is to provide people from all walks of life with the opportunity to a secular ceremony that represents and supports who they are, as individuals, couples, or families.
Our core values include respect, honesty, transparency, and kindness. Our ceremonies are grounded in connection, warmth, care, and love, for the humanity and dignity of all.
Our Services
Silver Birch Ceremonies offers carefully crafted ceremonies for:
- weddings, vow renewals, and commitment
- naming/introduction and welcoming ceremonies for anyone going through a name change/transition, i.e. babies, trans folks
- end of life ceremonies, including funerals, memorials, or celebration of life
- life-changes, including but not limited to career, relationships, and stage of life changes

$400+
Fully customized ceremony that hears you, sees you, and presents you individually and as a couple. Whether it is fanciful, fun, freaky, or fantastically whimsical; your ceremony will be all about you!
