Silver Birch Ceremonies, established by Sarah Brown, a Mohawk/Caucasian woman from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, is a long-awaited dream come true. As an Indigenous social worker, poet, public speaker, and a proud supporter of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community, Sarah has envisioned this opportunity to create non-religious ceremonies for decades.
As an officiant with Humanist Canada, the mission of Silver Birch Ceremonies is to provide people from all walks of life with the opportunity to a secular ceremony that represents and supports who they are, as individuals, couples, or families.
Our core values include respect, honesty, transparency, and kindness. Our ceremonies are grounded in connection, warmth, care, and love, for the humanity and dignity of all.
